Richlands Business Incubator

In early 2007, two of Southwest Virginia’s economic development agents teamed up to provide local entrepreneurs a greater opportunity.

People Incorporated Financial Services and the Richlands Business Incubator agreed that providing a new business with an office, finances and access to training activities made sense. This has formed the foundation for a new opportunity in the Tazewell/Richlands area for new businesses to participate in the many opportunities being made available in Southwest Virginia.

The Richlands Business Incubator is a business resource center committed to the growth and development of beginning and expanding businesses. Their 10,000 square foot facility offers a diverse range of facilities from single offices to light manufacturing space. The benefits your business will receive from operating within the incubator include secretarial services, fax, copy machine, conference rooms, employee lounges and a computer lab. Tenants often network to assist each other in solving problems with solutions that benefit fellow tenants.

People Incorporated Financial Services provides one-on-one business consulting, entry-level and advanced-level business management classes, business plan development training, and of course, business loans. Our business loans can be used for start-up operations, equipment, land, inventory, vehicles, building up-fit, and working capital.

Also included in the many new opportunities to improve our small business operational environment is website development and training provided by VecTec, the Virginia Electronic Commerce Technology Center, another tenant in the incubator. Their range of services include: e-commerce consulting, websites, database development, search engine optimization, local government and non-profit assistance, and research assistance for your business.
